Thank you for your response. Yes, I would like to try a different antenna that is known to work on another car to see if this antenna is the problem. Process of elimination has always been a great way to figure out this type of problem but I only have this antenna. I did replace the mast because the old mast's cable was broken. Come to think of it I could try to remove the mast totally and "test-run" it that way. If the antenna motor runs correctly then I know the problem resides in the antenna mast somewhere. Most likely lack of lubrication or foreign debris in in the gear chamber. Any tips on lubrication for the mast cable? I have wheel bearing grease and white lithium grease available but not sure if this is what is right for the job. Thank you again for your help. Have a great weekend. ~jeff
